Citizens disregard ban on religious prayers in Sindh

KARACHI: The Sindh government’s decision to ban community prayers, another measure to level the COVID-19 curve, met with resistance on Friday when many people neglected the blocking orders to go to mosques through Karachi.

This is despite the routes that have blocked most of the large mosques and closed the doors of many mosques. Some reached mosques long before Friday prayers, which others later joined. Although police and rangers stationed in front of all of the province’s main mosques continued to beg angry, angry, and angry crowds to prevent them from entering the mosques, these appeals did little to appease them.
