Sindh govt to distribute ration bags to needy due to COVID-19
On Thursday, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah ordered provincial authorities to distribute food packages to those in need as the province takes steps to combat the corona virus pandemic.
This decision was made at a high level meeting at CM House.
The Chief Minister informed the meeting of measures to curb the further spread of the corona virus.
“In connection with the closure of shopping centers, restaurants, or the so-called partial blockage, we tried to slow the spread so that the necessary measures to create isolation centers and field hospitals were taken,” he said.
CM Murad said that in the first phase and in the first month, packages with rations were distributed to the needy.
He added that packages of rice, flour, sugar, butter, tea, milk, spices and three types of daal worth 2 million rupees were distributed to the needy.
