Karachi’s Expo to become 10,000-bed quarantine center
KARACHI: The Sindh government has made a proactive decision to turn the Karachi Expo center into a 10,000-bed isolation center as the province steps up efforts to curb the spread of the new corona virus.
This step is part of a common outbreak prevention measure for COVID-19, since 41 local cases of virus transmission have been confirmed.
During the daily COVID-19 meeting, Prime Minister Said Murad Ali Shah saw an alarming trend and highlighted how the Singapore and Hong Kong authorities are blocking the spread by rapid action. “We have to prevent the spread,” he said.
