16 confirmed coronavirus cases throughout Pakistan: Sindh announces nine more cases of the virus in one day
KARACHI: Health authorities in Sindh announced on Monday that up to nine other people who reached Karachi from Syria and England had tested positive for COVID-19 and were being treated at three different city public and private hospitals. This leads to a total of 13 cases in Sindh and 16 across the country.
“Nine new cases of coronavirus tested positive in Karachi. Six of these patients arrived from Syria via Doha, and the remaining three patients arrived from London via Dubai last week. The Department of Health is in the process of tracking all contacts for further testing. Thus, the total number of cases in Sindh has reached 13, one of which has been cured and released, ”said Meran Yosuf, an official of the Ministry of Health, late Monday.
